Professional Experience

From 1989-2005 in the research and development (R&D) department of a big German electronics group.

 

Since 2000 translating and proof-reading of technical texts (operating instructions, technical specifications, calls for tenders, machine and process descriptions, press releases, etc.) as well as general texts and occasionally also contracts about machine deliveries from English, French and Spanish into German.

Countless trips abroad to France, Italy, Spain, Hungary, USA and Latin America. I am currently living in Spain (first three years in Valencia, since August 2014 in Barcelona) but I'm traveling regularly to my home town Vienna.

 

2006: End of my engineer's career, start of new language studies and the beginning of my career as freelance translator.

 

2009: Foundation of "Nabla Translations"
